Zusammenfassung:eng: The dissertation aims to give a plausible basis for the solution of a crucial problem of politics - violence and the use of force by the state. Having represented, criticised and acknowledged the main contemporary theories of ethics, the author will then develop his own theory following a primarily intuitive-synthetic methodology, including anthropological and metaphysical considerations (Hobbes, Kant, Schopenhauer, Reininger). Justice, as a basic requirement for (individual) morality - supported both rationally (Rawls) and metaphysically (Kant, Schopenhauer) - is also defined as a fundamental category for the political and social world. Wrong and right, the relation between man and man, the connection of state, law and violence (extensive excerpt on violence) are examined as moral determinations in the context of the laws of nature. Based on a social contract as a normative-critical idea of reason, justice is then transferred to a level above or between states. This is followed by an analysis, both philosophical and in terms of the theory of law, of international state relations and the use of force between states. Force and violence are considered moral only when applied as ultima ratio to ward off injustice or aggression or rather to maintain political justice. An examination is carried out to establish in how far the philosophical theory has become practice in international law and the UN-charter. Finally the ethical theory of justice and discourse are claimed imperatives to political interactions.
